Hello everybody!
For those of you who missed my last post, let me do a quick introduction. My name’s Emma and I recently joined the Age of Empires team as Head of Player Engagement. This means I’ll be running the Community Team and looking at all the ways we can talk to you and make sure what you tell us makes it back to the developers. I’m new to the Age team, but got my first experience of the franchise in 1998 and have spent 6 years over at UK studio Rare looking after all things community.
For those of you who did see my last post and got in touch either via the Forums, the comments, or on Twitter—thank you! You’ve all been so welcoming and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all. There’s a lot for me to get caught up, on so please send me your thoughts, your memories, and your finest memes!
My first week was spent getting to know the lovely Age of Empires Community Team, meeting the creative people who are working on bringing you new Age of Empires games, and getting repeatedly lost in my new office building. (Tangent: That and discovering the sheer volume of American snack foods you can’t get in the UK. I did at least pick up one thing that had fruit in it. Buried under chocolate. Still counts?) For those of you not fortunate enough to have met my new colleagues, I can assure you that they’re all fans—just like you—and are dedicated to bringing you the best experiences possible.
We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming and we don’t want you to miss out. Here are some highlights:

- Age Of Empires II: Definitive Edition is launching on November 14th. That’s so soon! Get your pre-orders in or get ready to play via Xbox Game Pass for PC.
- Coming to X019 in London? We’ll be there! Come and find us at the show, we’ll have hands on time with Age II: Definitive Edition on offer and want to meet you if you’re there too. Disclaimer: I won’t be there myself, but I know (as a Brit) how insanely excited the UK gaming community is to attend X0 this year.
